SAINSBURYS ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS will be back instore on February 15th. Last season, despite starting collecting half way through the offer, we managed to collect sufficient vouchers to provide all the teams with better quality matchballs. This saved the club somewhere around £250. Lets make sure we start on time this year and make a significant saving for the club.

In very muddy conditions today, lads you played very well to win 10-1 against our neighbours ( Perton Pumas). Nice to see lots of different scores, and to see Alex play for 20 minutes. Keep it going, 4 league games left

Well they don't come along very often. You have to wind the clock back to March 2008 for the last time that Alex Blyth hit the back of the net. Way back then it won us the Charity B Cup final. Todays goal wasn't quite as important as that one. However it does guarantee us at least a 3rd place finish in the Premier league. At the moment we head the table again by 3 points having played one more game than APR and the same as Bustleholme. Whatever happens I'm extremely proud of the effort and determination of the team as a whole to have got ourselves into the position we are this season. Well done lads

Thanks Rich. It's never nice to see a lad go down injured. Particularly as he was only kicking the ball and there was no challenge on him. We all hope that Zack's injury doesn't prove to be serious, he make's a speedy recovery and is back inbetween the sticks soon.

Well all good runs must come eventually. The 5-1 scoreline may look as if it came crashing down but that was far from the case. For gone 40 minutes we at least matched APR, our illustrious opposition, and even led 1-0 at half time. Two quick goals, early in the 2nd half put APR on top, regretably we let our heads drop a little and paid the price. We will dust ourselves off and get back to league action next week.

Lads you battled hard today, and deserved your 5-4 victory. You could tell we where a bit rusty to start off with, as we havent played for 5 weeks. PRD are good strong team, we matched them. Nice to have Joe back in goal, however we have 3 new injured players. Andy, Alex and Tom (B). Hope you all recover quickly.

Very happy after todays 3-1 win over Lane Head. We certainly didnt make it easy for ourselves in the first half allowing ourselves to be bullied and knocked of the ball to easily but the second half showed how we can play just got to make sure we do it all game ... Well done today lads very proud

U14 Wolves continued their push for Silverware with a hard fought 2-0 victory over Wednesfield RBL. Perhaps due to the christmas break we were far from our best but we were the more clinical when it mattered, we will happily take the points, and move on to the next fixture.

What can I say stunning display of controlled passing football. Emerald are top of the 1st division they deserve and are without question destined for next years premier division. It could have been a difficult tie but they struggled to compete with us today. Superb, competitive, stylish football a credit to yourselves and to the club. It's been really difficult to pick the most improved/man of the match players today due the the excellent team performance. Well done lads....all of you!

im so proud of the never say die attitude of the lads today going 1-0 down we could have easily have fallen apart but as Mark says the defence were immense and with a little more luck with decisions going against us we could have taken all three points. Also well done to Matt Finney for scoring his first goal for the club. Keep up the good work.

Today was always going to be a tough game against last seasons Walsall league champions. However we matched them in every department and came back twice to get a deserved 2-2 draw. Great performances from everyone, particularly the defence, special praise to Taylor who is struggling with a rib injury. Nathan's save right at the end of the match diving full length to push out a cross away that was otherwise going towards their forwards at the back post. Summed up the determination shown from everyone involved to get something from this fixture. Well Done lads

Another great performance from the boys. An outstanding performance from our goal keeper and back four. If we play like this every week we should do really well. A big well done to Curtis wood who scored his first hattrick of the season, just goes to show that hard work does pay off.

U14 wolves continue unbeaten with what was a comfortable 5-1 win against New Park Village. The result was particularly pleasing as we had to contend with Krisky, Ash, James and Taylor being unavailable plus Liam, Shiloe and Sam all having to come off feeling unwell at various intervals. A Great Performance under difficult circumstances well done lads!

Perton U14 Wolves came back to win 4-2 after being 2-0 down to a hard working Wednesbury Sports Union side. Perhaps we were not at our best today but it was perhaps the test we needed after having it a bit all our own way the past few match's.

Yet another large spread of 'Green', across the results column, shows that the club continues its great start to the season. Our under 21's side were nominated for team of the month. The u12's played on Sunday with a team of 8! We played bilston wanderers, a generally nice team, except for 2 players who got warnings and a yellow card for bad language. At half time we were 1-0 up! By full time 4-1 down but the boys played so hard. A huge well done to them all. I was one of a few very proud parents that day. Dan got injured twice and still came back on because he wasn't going to let his team down. To Play a team with so little respect was hard for us to watch but they did us proud. Well done boys. 5177 Sainsburys Active Kids Vouchers. That should be about it now. A fantastic effort from everyone. Far more than I ever expected us to collect. This should enable us to provide nearly every team with 2No. matchballs. This would have cost the club nearly £250! THANKS!

Huge influx of sainsburys vouchers at yesterdays training over 1000! Taking us to 4565. With still a few more to be handed in this is a fantastic effort by everyone at the club. We are not sure how these vouchers will be spent, but to give you an idea of their worth to the club, we are looking at something like 24 training balls that have an RRP of £11.00 each. If only we had known that we could have started collectind in February......

A massive thanks must go to DONNA EDWARDS for organising our 'ROBBIE WILLIAMS' Tribute evening. The night was a roaring success bringing around £700 into the clubs coffers. It's a shame that it wasn't quite a sell out. If it had been then we would have been looking at over £1000 profit. However I'd like to thank everyone who did come out to support the event. Those who did had a fantastic time. I'm hoping that in the future we can persuade Donna to organise more of these 'nights'. Hopefully more of you will start to come along and join in the fun!!!

you were very unfortunate today mate .. couldnt tell from where we we stood about the 2nd goal but i did find it very strange that someone of that age should be running the line as im sure in our games linesmen have to be of a certain age but maybe he was small for his age. Unfortunalty you paid for those missed chances !! but well done anyway

Thanks to Andy for his support and kind words. Sadly though the better team lost. I think, after a slow start, we had more of the game and created the better of the chances. We perhaps should have been more than 2-0 up before wednesfield pulled a goal back. If Tony was correct and the junior linesman bottled an offside descision for the equalising goal then we can feel very hard done to. Nevertheless it doesn't take away how very proud I am of what you have achieved throughout this season.

Despite the scoreline our U12's did the club proud on tuesday night. Warstones probably deserved the win but 6-0, no way! Footballs a funny game and our lads had absolutely no luck in front of goal. If, early in the game, Harvey's well struck half volley had dipped under rather than just over the crossbar then things may have been different. All of Warstones efforts seemed to find the back of the net. George couldn't be faulted for any of them. It sumed up the game when a long range punt into the box sailed into the top net. You can all hold your heads up though, you kept trying to play football right to the end, never letting your standards drop. Bad luck.

What can I say, yet another win against premiership oppostion, and thats with four players unavailable as well. It has to be said that the worst sloping pitch in the league effected the game. We took our chances well in the first half and the defence, led by Taylor Wycherley, did their job well to shut them out in the 2nd half. When they did get a half chance Nathan was in fine form between the sticks. Another final now awaits us. Whatever happens I'm very proud of what you have achieved togetherr as a team this year.

We came back well today, after Thursdays disappointing cup final defeat, to get a small slice of revenge and deserved 2-0 win against Bilbrook. A good game in which Bilbrook played their part. If truth were told though Bilbrook hardly forced Nathan into a save and the outstanding Jake Wenlock produced some top draw saves to keep them in the game until Kriskys well taken goal settled the tie.

Played really well today against a decent premier league side. Took our chances well. At half time we could have been more than three up if we had taken all our chances. 2nd half they got two early goals and we let them back in the game. However we kept going closed out the game and had enough chances to have scored some more ourselves. A really entertaining fixture with both teams deserving credit for the football played.

A tail of two teams both having periods of domination and a very hard worked crossbar! Both Perton and Wednesbury played some good football on what was a very heavy pitch. I'd guess that both managers will feel their lads should have won it. However, on cold reflection and taking on board the view of a neutral spectator, the draw was a fair result.

WELL DONE TO ALL THE SQUAD. Champions of what is a very tight league. The 2-2 scoreline was a fair reflection of the game, both sides created numerous chances in what was tricky conditions. Bilbrook took a deserved lead but Perton got back on level terms when Sam Squire shot home from he edge of the box. Perton then dominated and some neat passing resulted in Jack Kriskinans firing home to make it 2-1. The second half was an even affair but moments a having a goal disallowed Bilbrook levelled with a close range effort. Perton finished stronger but could not find the winner. A great game for all. Well done again lads lets finish the season unbeaten.

a below par performance against a hardworking Emerald almost cost us but some determined play saw us run out 4-2 winners with goals from Jack Kriskinans, Ramesch Ram (2) and James Burrows. Emerald are a hard to beat side who do not give you anytime on the ball and have no respect for league position, just the kind of team we will play in the Premier Division next season. Firstly Congratulations to Emerald and good luck in the Semi Finals. What else can I say? It was certainly a bad day at the office for us but we all have those don't we? I have to say that the small pitch certainly played to Emeralds competitive strengths. In my opinion it prevented us from passing the ball around and it cancelled out our usually strong wing play. I wouldn't want to take anything away from Emerald who certainly deserved to have won in normal time. However whilst playing on pitch's that are too big doesn't help player development. Playing on pitch's that are too small has just the same effect.

A good performance today with a resolute Bilbrook and difficult conditions making it hard to play our normal passing game. After a surprisingly even first half both teams created chances and it was Perton who went in 2-0 at half time with two well taken goals from Ramesh Ram. The second half was again an even encounter with a Joe Carter goal all Perton had to show for there possession. Special praise goes to Bilbrook for the way they never gave up. WELL DONE LADS. After an impressive start we were 2-0 up early on through Liam Morgillo. Rose Park got themselves back in the game but couldn't get past a resilient Nathan Reeves and his defence. The rest of the first half was end to end with Rose Park getting a goal back on the stroke of half time. The second half was dominated by the Perton Midfield and had numerous chances adding five second half goals though Jack Kriskinans (2), Liam Morgillo (2) and a rare Sam Squire goal to complete a 7-1 scoreline.

With 5 players off on holiday, one sick plus sam and ash recovering from illness it was always going to be a tough game today. Short Heath, to their credit passed it around better than we did, but we kept working hard and in the end our forwards were just too deadly for them to handle and we ended up 6-3 winners. I have to say that Short Heath did themselves credit today, good football, good attitude from both the management and players.

With my under 13's fixtureless this weekend, I took the opportunity to visit Perton Middle school, to watch our Under 11's and U12 west sides in action. Both teams performed well. The U11's in the end lost 6-2 to FC Perton. The scoreline may not look too good but it certainly flattered the opposition. Our lads were never outclassed but lost their way in a crazy 5 minute spell when FC Perton scored 4 of their 6 goals. Keep working hard and you'll get their lads no problem. The under 12's strolled to a convincing 5-0 win that really could and should have been more. After a tough start last season this team, along with a few additions, is starting to mature into a decent side. Well done lads its great to see a team get the ball down on the floor and pass it!

well done lads after racing into a four goal lead with goals from Ramesh Ram. Aaron Green, Jack Kriskinans and a first ever goal for Bobby Morecock we took our foot of the gas and lost our shape and let Short Heath back into the game as they got back to 4-2, but we finished stronger and regained our composure to run our 6-2 winners with further goals from Andy Shave and Aaron Green. WELL DONE LADS see you all in three weeks time.

Proud Proud Proud what more can I say. After a dodgy first half when the basics failed us what a second half, Attitude and determination which I have not seen before 3-1 down to a Premier Division Portobello at half time we could have easily said not to bother but after a couple of changes we buckled down and fought back. Special priase must obviously go to Ramesh for his hat-trick but also to Jack Taylor for his outstanding performance in midfield, along with Sam Squire and Jack Kriskinans we bossed the midfield giving Portobello no chance and on another day we could have easily won the game, excellent. We must not now drop our standards now we have proved we can play with the best in the league. WELL DONE LADS.

It may have only been a friendly but to come away with a deserved 3-3 draw against Portobello Rangers, who finsihed third place in the premier last year, was a fantastic performance. Lets not forget that we only had Taylor for half a game plus Andy Shave and Arron Green unavailable. Superbly taken 1st hat-trick from Ramesh. I extremely proud of all of you. Well Done!

well done lads a more polished performance this week 4-0 up at half time with goals from Ramesh Ram, Liam Morgillo (2) and a first ever goal from Joe Carter. The second half was a much more laboured affair but Perton still dominated but failed to score more than an Ashley Sage goal. Final score Perton and Codsall 5 Lanehead Lions 0. We need to keep improving and not stop playing the passing football we continue to train. See you all on Saturday when Portobelllo come to Gainsborough Drive with a 10.30am kick off.

Well lads its back to business and im glad to say its business as usual with a 4-1 victory at Emerald FC. With a litttle more luck we could have gone in by more than the one goal at half time. The second half started badly and Emerald got back into the game but the experience and an all round team effort got Perton and Codsall three goals late on to seal an deserved victory. Fitness and fatigue took its toll on what was the clubs first fixture of the season but well done lads. A special well done to the debutants Joe Carter, Ramesch Ram and Jack Taylor in what must have been a hard game for you, having to learn players names etc you all played well and look to be settling in well. See you on Saturday.

A 4-1 win is always a good start to the season. We looked a little rusty and will play better than that. If we had taken the chances that our early domination created then it would have been a more comprehensive win. Good debuts for all of the new lads. Particularly Ramesh who on another day would have been looking at his 1st hat-trick for his new club. Well done lads lets do the same to Lane Head Lions next week.

Congratulations to Wednesbury on holding us to a draw and winning the title. They have done amazingly well to go the whole season unbeaten. It must be said though that both teams have shone at the top of the 1st division this season and its a shame that there can only be one winner. As with the premiership when there are two stand out teams who wins comes down to the smallest of margins and the team who gets the greater proportion of luck. Unfortunately it was Wednesbury and not us. I am though immensely proud of the team, our attitude and most of all the type and style of football we have played. This is perhaps reflected in us being awarded the Bilston League Fair Play Award 2009-2010. Finally a big thank you goes to the lads and the support we have recieved from all of our parents. Its been a pleasure.

Perton and Codsall started their final home league game of the season brightly against Tipton Olympic and it was no suprise when they opened the scoring inside 5 minutes when Aaron Green fired home, they made it 2-0 6 minutes later when a quick Ashley Sage throw in found Sam Squire on the edge of the box who shot home leaving the keeper no chance. A resilient Tipton created chances but it was Perton who added two further goals before half time with Aaron Green adding his second and Andy Shave scoring a solo goal to make the half time score 4-0. Perton continued to dominate the game in the second half and Aaron Green completed his hat-trick and Sam Squire soon followed scoring two well taken striikes from the edge of the box. Sandwiched between Sam Squire's goals was a Taylor Wycherley goal, scoring from a corner. At 8-0 Perton continued to press and and smart passing move at the back was rewarded when Ashley Sage ran down the left wing and hammered home number nine. The ever dangerous Andy Shave completed the scoring latching on to an Alex Blythe cross to complete a 10-0 scoreline. WELL DONE LADS ! This was an excellent all round team performance. Just one game to go and its away to Wednesbury. So its just one final effort and whatever will be will be. GOOD LUCK !

Perton started the game today looking to keep up there title challenge against Penn Rovers. It was 2-0 in the first five minutes with Liam Morgillo scoring both goals. Moments later some superb ball skills from Sam Squire set up Bes Azimi to make it 3-0. Penn pulled a goal back when a clumsy challenge on Nathan Reeves went unnoticed and the goal stood. Perton bounced back with two goal of the season contenders. It was 4-1 when Andy Shave volleyed home from the edge of the box and it was then Aaron Green's turn to shine when he turned and sent a curling shot into the top right hand corner of the net from the edge of the box. The second half started brightly with Liam Morgillo completing his hat-trick. Perton didn't add to the scorline until ten minutes to go. Andy Shave finished off a neat passing move to make it 7-1, then not to be outdone Aaron Green scored his second, again from the edge of the box. Jack Kriskinans deservedly completed the scoring hammering the ball home from close range to complete a 9-1 scoreline. WELL DONE lads another performance to make everyone at the club proud. Keep up the good work only two games to go.

Another hard fought game well done. After an even start Perton started to dominate with chances falling to Andy Shave, Aaron Green, Liam Morgillo and Sam Squire but it was substitute Besmillah Azimi who finished off a neat passing move just before half time. The second half was much the same but a lapse in concentration at the back let Wombourne back in the game to level 1-1. Perton again had their chances to finish off the game but when time looked to have been running out Andy Shave finished off a Besmillah cross to keep the promotion push on track. Well Done again lads. You showed determination and spirit that was missing against Bilbrook. Three games to go. KEEP IT UP.

Perton started their game against Bilbrook looking for all three points to keep their promotion challenge on track. Liam Morgillo soon put them on their way slotting home a Sam Squire cross. Bilbrook never lay down and were level when a long goalkick was some how put away. It was 2-1 to Perton minutes later with Liam Morgillo scoring his second. Bilbrook again would not lie down and were awarded a penalty which Nathan Reeves superbly saved but it was 2-2 on the stroke of half time when a mix up in defence let Bilbrook equalise from close range. Perton dominated the second half but the luck was not with them, Bilbrook were saved by the crossbar. When it looked like the points were being shared Aaron Green shot the ball home to deservedly win all three points. WELL DONE LADS I have never been more proud, all the hard work in training and also an excellent attitude ensured our title push is well on target. Dont let the standards drop only five games to go. Taylor Wycherley and Sam Squire were man of the match for todays game but you all were excelllent.

Perton, looking to avenge there semi final defeat starting brightly and were 1-0 ahead after just five minutes.Top scorer Liam Morgillo finishing a neat move. Perton continued to dominate with Andy Shave latching on to Sam Squire's through ball to slot home. It was the same combination again moments later putting Perton 3-0 ahead. The first half was just one was traffic with Liam Morgillo and Aaron Green completing a 5-0 half time scoreline. The second half was less than one minute old when Wombourne pulled a goal back. Perton had chances to kill the game off but Wombourne battled on pulling three more goals back to give everyone a tense last five minutes. FINAL SCORE Perton 5 Wombourne 4. After dominating the first half we just switched off in the second half. We must play for 60 minutes not when we think we have done enough but well done lads just six games to go.

A game of two halves. Haft time were 5-0 and coasting after some very impressive passing football. 2nd half we take our foot off the gass and almost let them grab a draw with some sloppy defending at the back and in midfield. However its three more points in the bag. We must learn though to keep playing for the whole 60 mins

Despite todays 7-0 scoreline we have to be a little dissapointed with todays performance. I know we had a couple of players missing and the strong wind certainly effected the game. On a very small pitch Perton started brightly and deservedly opened the scoring when Ashley Sage calmly finished. It was soon 2-0 when Aaron Green got his first goal of the game. Perton continued to dominate and made the half time score 3-0 when top scorer Liam Morgillo slotted home a neat move. The second half started slowly and with fifteen minutes to go Perton's chances were limited with Nathan Reeves two long range shots the only action. Aaron Green came of the bench to score a great solo goal. Pendeford pulled one back before Sam Squire completed the scoring from close range. Well Done lads back to winning ways, feels good doesn't it. So lets keep that winning feeling going all the way to the end of the season.

After dominating the opening 10 minutes and spurning several chances Perton were 2-0 within five minutes. Both times they were cut open by a simple through ball leaving the keeper Reeves no chance. To the credit of Perton they never gave up and continued to create numerous chances but were again caught out by a simple through ball. Now 3-0 down they were given a lifeline when Taylor Wytcherley headed home a Sam Squire corner. The second half continued in the same manner with Perton creating but not putting away there chances. A hard working Wombourne only conceding one goal in the second half when Andy Shave scrambled the ball home. So we have to learn that we are not unbeatable and some of us have to show that little bit more desire in both training and on matchdays. We are top of the league on merit and its up to the players if they stop there, so come on lads and show everyone what you can do, cos I know how good you REALLY are how good you REALLY can be.

Perton started well with 3 goals in the first 15 minutes with two strikes from Aaron Green and one from Liam Morgillo. We then took our foot off the pedal and it wasnt until the last five minutes Perton added two more with goals from Andy Shave and Jack Kriskinans. The second half started slowly and Perton couldn't get a grip on the game then suddenly got back into the scoring with a tremendous striker from Alex Blythe. Aaron Green then completed his hat-trick. Three late goals from Liam Morgillo (2) and Bes Azimi completed the 10-0 scoreline. A good result but not training for 6 weeks certainly was obvious. A hard training session on Saturday ahead to bring us up to where we were before Christmas. Stuart.

After relentless first half pressure the only surprise was how the wolves didn't score. In the second half it was back to normal as goals from Andy Shave (2), Liam Morgillo (2) and Taylor Wycherley (2) put Coven to the sword. Coven replied with a last minute penalty to make the score 6-1. In a hard fought game Perton showed enough fight and battling spirit to beat a resilient Coven. on a very boggy pitch perton wolves started really well going 5-0 ahead within the first twenty minutes with goals from Andy Shave, Liam Morgillo and a hat-trick from Aaron Green. We then lost concentration and allowed All Saints a goal from nothing but replied immediately with another Andy Shave goal. The second half started slowly with Perton thinking they had done enough and All Saints started brightly but couldn't break the Wolves down. Perton also created numerous chances and Bismillah Azimi added a seventh only for All Saints to get on the scoresheet with there second goal. Liam Morgillo added an eighth late on to complete the scoring. Perton stay top with a very polished performance. We must now keep the pressure on, making sure we keep our positions and taking our chances. WELL DONE LADS

in horrendous conditions to play football the under 12 wolves showed great character in beating punjab. After a slow start Perton eventually broke the deadlock and never looked back winning 16-0. Well done lads for an excellent team performance. The forwards will get all the headlines but praise must also go to the defence and keeper for never switching off in torrential rain and collecting a well deserved clean sheet.

Under 12's Wolves continued from where they left off last week. The 7-0 scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. Penn were never in the game and had only one worthwhile effort on goal which was well saved. Have to say that it's so good to see a team of 11 year olds pass the ball around the way football should be played. Well done lads.
